Job summary

Methodist Richardson Medical Center in Richardson, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse to render high-level nursing care to assigned patients. You will use the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and support the hospital's mission and goals.

Responsibilities include patient education, coordination with the care team, timely documentation, safe medication/IV administration, and ongoing professional growth within a 12x3 night shift rotation for a 36-hour work week.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Basic Life Support Certification.
• Current license to practice nursing in Texas or eligibility to obtain it.
• Six months RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment using communication and teamwork.
• Assumes responsibility for nursing components of the patient/family education process.
• Communicates with the team, patients, and families and confirms understanding of information.
• Maintains a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, staff and facility.
• Ensures complete, accurate, and timely written patient information.
• Administers medications and IVs safely, accurately and promptly.
• Takes personal responsibility for performance and professional growth.
• Uses the nursing process to provide quality care throughout the care episode.
• Other duties as assigned.
