Baystate Health in Springfield, MA is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Chestnut Operating Room team at Chestnut Outpatient Surgical Services, Baystate Medical Center.

This full-time role offers 32 hours per week with 10-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM, rotating days, and an on-call schedule. You will provide perioperative care to adult and pediatric patients and collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and OR staff.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN in Massachusetts.
• Current AHA BLS certification.
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience in surgical services preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care to adult and pediatric surgical patients.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care throughout the surgical experience.
• Serve as a patient advocate while promoting a culture of safety and quality.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and interdisciplinary team members to deliver high‑quality patient care.
• Monitor patient status and respond appropriately to changes in condition throughout the perioperative process.
