Job summary

SGT Private Security, Inc. is hiring for a front desk security position at a residential high-rise in Lower Nob Hill, San Francisco. The Friday–Sunday shift runs 7am–3pm (24 hours/week) with a total compensation of $28.00/hour including uniform maintenance.

You will greet residents, receive packages, monitor cameras, and assist with emergencies. Requirements include Valid Driver's License, BSIS Guard Card, high school diploma or GED, 21+, clean driving record, and strong English communication.

Schedule

Fridays - Sundays: 7am-3pm (24 hours/week)

Location

Lower Nob Hill (about 5 blocks from Union Square)

Pay

$27.00 hour + $1.00 hour uniform maintenance = $28.00/hour

Vacation Time (accrued based on working 40 hours/week :

24 hours the 1st year (based on working 40 hours/week) then an additional 8 hours added every year thereafter (2nd year 32 hrs, 3rd year 40 hrs, 4th year 48 hrs, etc.)

Annual Bonus:

We pay $100 for the 1st year anniversary and an additional $100 for every year thereafter. (2nd year $200, 3rd year $300, etc)

Job Description:

This is a typical front desk position at a residential high rise building. Most of the time is spent at the front desk receiving and handling packages, watching cameras and assisting residents. Patrols around the building and through the building occur in the evening hours. The uniform is a blue suit with white button down, which is of course provided by SGT.

Job Duties Including But Not Limited To:

• Lift packages up to 50 pounds


• Train other security officers on post orders and standard operating procedures.


• Work other post sites when officers are late or call off, may require driving of company vehicle.


• Answer phones.


• Respond to service calls.


• Walk around the property checking areas of interest from Client.


• Conduct patrol tours of using a checkpoint scanning system with smartphone.


• Identify potential security risks and report them.


• Complete incident reports and required reports for all security incidents using a smartphone.


• Respond to emergencies or incidents and report them.


• Assist employees and visitors with any questions or concerns they may have.


• Escalate emergency situations to law enforcement as needed.


• Meet with Clients.

Job Requirements:

• Valid Drivers License.


• Valid BSIS Guard Card.


• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.


• Must be at least 21 years old.


• Must have clean driving record.


• Must be hardworking.


• Must be honest at all times.


• Ability to pass a background check.


• Previous security-related work experience.


• Ability to stay levelheaded and respond quickly in stressful situations.


• Proficient written and oral communication skills in English.


• Comfortable kneeling, carrying, bending, walking, and standing for. extended periods of time


• Ability to perform continuous physical exertion as needed.


• Working knowledge of basic security techniques.
