Job summary

AHMC HealthCare in Monterey Park, CA seeks anExperienced Registered Nurse to deliver patient care using the nursing process. You will assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate care in medical-surgical units while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Requirements include a CA RN license, 1 year acute care experience, and BCLS/ACLS; additional certifications in dysrhythmia and NIHS Stroke are preferred. Strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

Job description

Responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosing, planning, implementation and evaluation. Responsible for directing and coordinating all nursing care based on established clinical nursing care for patients the medical surgical services based on established clinical nursing practice standards. Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes. Serves as the Resource nurse role when oriented and as directed. Supports the organization vision and mission. Utilizes knowledge of patient's age, developmental status, spiritual and cultural diversity into the provision of patient care. Contributes to the provision of quality nursing care through performance improvement techniques that demonstrate positive outcomes in patient care.

• Education & Discharge Planning Provide comprehensive patient education and ensure follow-up instructions are clearly understood and documented prior to discharge.
• Documentation Maintain legible, timely, and accurate nursing documentation in accordance with diagnosis and practice standards.
• Collaboration Work effectively within an interdependent team to ensure continuity of care and professional, courteous communication with coworkers, physicians, and the public.
