Position Purpose

The individual in this position is responsible for the organization of accurate and timely material flow into and out of the manufacturing and/or warehouse departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Yard Driver: Safely transport trailers/trucks across campus as needed. Must have prior experience driving large commercial truck/trailers. CDL is not required as the driver does not go on public roadways.
  • Material Specialist: Support warehouse operation via transporting inventory and materials throughout the warehouse to and from Production areas using Powered Industrial Equipment—including pallet jacks, fork trucks, and turret stock pickers (TSPs). Ensure accurate, safe, and efficient receipt of all inbound materials, including packaging materials, imported goods, and internal manufactured items. Maintain consistent internal support and ensure accurate, safe, and efficient fulfillment of all sales‑order requests. Support functional team requirements to ensure safe and efficient operation of all material‑handling equipment.
Qualifications
Experience
  • Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment with receiving or shipping background preferred.
Skills & Knowledge
  • Basic writing and math skills required.
  • Flexibility to meet rotational shift changes and overtime, as required.
  • Basic computer and data‑entry knowledge required. Ability to use a radio‑frequency scanner.
  • Knowledge of standard warehouse and/or production practices and processes helpful but not required.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Truck driving experience—26FT or above.
Education & Certifications
  • High School Diploma.
Other Requirements
  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds; occasionally up to 75 pounds.
  • Able to be trained and certified to operate PIT equipment: pallet jacks, fork trucks, reach trucks, and turret stock picker (TSP). TSP equipment weighs approximately 18,000 pounds.
  • Ability to pull, push, climb, balance, stoop, knee, crouch, and reach with arms.
  • Must be able to walk frequently.
  • Comfortable working in a refrigerated environment.
Compensation

$23.72 - $25.00
