Job summary

Brunswick is seeking a Woodworker to perform a variety of cabinetry fabrication tasks for its marine projects. You will engage in basic woodwork, rough carpentry, and cabinetry assembly, with opportunities to learn CNC routing, lamination, and full cabinet builds.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, basic carpentry experience, and the ability to read blueprints and production schedules. Expect a hot and dusty shop, PPE use, and a pathway to skilled woodworking through hands-on

  • Familiarity with quality system procedures and documents.

Position Overview

A Woodworker performs a wide variety of fabrication tasks centered around building cabinetry. At Brunswick, we have passion for our work and a distinct ability to deliver.

Essential Functions
  • Performs basic wood working or rough carpentry work on small or large boats.
  • Frequently involves use of staples and staple guns in assembly of rough wood structures to be covered with other materials (fiberglass, upholstery).
  • Includes mill assembly and lamination woodworking positions.
  • Must be willing to learn all aspects of woodshop including running CNC routers, cabinet building, and assembly builds.
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Experience in basic or rough carpentry
  • Ability to read and understand production schedule and blueprints
  • Ability to work in a hot and dusty environment, using protective clothing and respirator if needed
  • Requires ability to use a wide variety of hand tools, powered and manual
  • Knowledge of hazardous chemical handling and disposal
  • Working knowledge of procedures, instructions, and documents as it relates to the quality system
Working Conditions
  • Must always possess the desire and ambition to work safely and report all hazards to their supervisor immediately.
  • Must understand basic terminology such as OSHA, DEP, and other regulatory agencies.
  • Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment where designated, including but not limited to, safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, etc.
  • Must be able to physically handle the requirements of the job, including lifting, bending, climbing stairs, standing, etc., with or without reasonable accommodation.

The pay range for this position is $20.90 - $23.65, hourly. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location. In addition to base pay, this position may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus or short-term incentive program. This position is also eligible for an award target as part of Brunswick’s long-term incentive program. Employees may be eligible to participate in Brunswick's comprehensive and high-quality benefits offerings, which includes medical, dental, vision, paid vacation, 401k (up to 4% match), Health Savings Account (with company contribution), wellbeing program, product purchase discounts, and much more.
