Venteon seeks a 2nd Shift Welding Technician in Jackson, Michigan to operate and program welding robots, troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems, and support continuous improvements in an automotive manufacturing setting.

Experience with Motoman and Fanuc robots and Allen Bradley PLCs is required. Strong attention to detail and safe work practices are essential for daily production and quality control.

Formación

• Post-secondary diploma in Robotic Welding, Electro-Mechanical, or Automation preferred.
• Strong PLC and electrical troubleshooting abilities.
• Experience in an automotive manufacturing environment is required.
• Experience with Motoman, Fanuc robots and Allen Bradley PLCs is essential.
• Ability to read blueprints and work independently with good prioritization.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Set-up and Teach Robots as required.
• Troubleshoot and adjust robots, Weld Controllers, etc. using PLCs and HMI.
• Assist with equipment changeovers and tooling.
• Provide production support for setup, tool changes and problem solving.
• Adjust welding schedules on Medar, Lincoln, Fronius and Panasonic Weld Controllers.
• Maintain equipment to ensure quality parts and daily preventive maintenance.
• Support continuous improvement activities and safety/environmental standards.

2ND SHIFT WELDING TECHNICIAN - JACKSON, MICHIGAN

A Leading Automotive Supplier near Jackson, Michigan needs a 2nd Shift Welding Technician. Prospective Candidates should be experienced working with Motoman & Fanuc Robots and Allen Bradley PLC s. This is a Full Time, Permanent, Direct Hire Position offering Competitive Hourly Compensation, Off Shift Premium, Paid Vacation and Good Benefits.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Set-up and Teach Robots as required
• Troubleshoot and adjust robots, Weld Controllers, etc. using PLC s and HMI
• Assist with changeover of equipment, components and tooling
• Provide support to production in order to ensure a smooth production run: i.e Setup, tool change, problem solving
• Adjust MIG, Spot and Arc Brazing Welding Schedules on Medar, Lincoln, Fronius and Panasonic Weld Controllers
• Maintain equipment to ensure machines produce quality parts
• Responsible for daily preventative maintenance
• Assisting in the implementation of continuous improvement activities
• Work in a safe manner at all times.
• Works in compliance with TS-16949 standards.
• Will be responsible for increasing company profitability and improving employee working conditions by providing manufacturing departments with well-maintained equipment, while ensuring quality and ability to meet production requirements.
• Maintains due diligence in regard to environmental matters, minimize any potentially harmful accidents and work in compliance with ISO-14001.
• Will follow the environmental guidelines for aspects as outlined in the job training requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Post secondary diploma from a technical college is preferred in Robotic Welding, Electro-Mechanical, or Automation.
• Ability to troubleshoot both Electrical and Mechanical issues
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in an Automotive Manufacturing Plant
• Must have very strong PLC skills
• Experience working with Motoman & Fanuc Robots, and Allen Bradley PLC s
• Must be able to work independently and prioritize tasks
• Strong problem solving techniques
• Ability to read Blue Prints
• Ability to interact with all levels of employees in the organization
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
