Daifuku is a leading U.S.-based provider of intelligent material handling systems. We are seeking a welder for the 2nd shift to join our manufacturing team. You will read blueprints, set up welding equipment, and produce welds that meet stringent standards.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years welding experience and AWS D1.1 certification. This full-time role offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities for hands-on growth within a dynamic, safety-focused environment.

Position Summary

Welders join metal parts using high heat application to form permanent bonds.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to

• Operating welding machine that feeds wire to bond materials
• Planning work by interpreting blueprints
• Determining welding position and type of metal to be fused
• Selecting and setting up welding equipment
• Ensuring welds meet standards and specifications
• Employees are responsible to comply with all requirements of Daifuku's QMS policies and procedures.
• Employees are to ensure sustainable process outputs that drive continuous improvement to provide leading industry performance and exceptional customer satisfaction.

Education and Experience Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; Certificate or Associate degree in welding
• Minimum 3-5 years experience in welding
• AWS D1.1 Structural Welding Certification

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements

• Good mechanical aptitude
• Ability to read blueprints
• Knowledge of hand tools and power tools
• Good communication skills
• Knowledge of quality assurance and self‑inspection techniques
• Self‑motivated and detail‑oriented
• Team orientation
• Crane operation experience preferred, but not required
• Forklift operation experience preferred, but not required
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language

ADA Requirements

• Medium work Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
