Job summary

The H&K Group, Inc. is seeking a Part Time 2nd Shift Floating Weighmaster for the Douglassville and Birdsboro Quarry operations. The role tallies quarry products, issues weigh slips to drivers, and supports production control on a day-to-day basis.

Ideal candidates are detail oriented, with good communication, able to work second shift, and able to pass PPE requirements. A HS diploma or GED and a State Weighmaster’s license are required, along with reliable transportation and a valid driver’s

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED or equivalent
• State Weighmaster’s license required
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Basic Microsoft Office skills (Word, Outlook, Excel)
• Reliable transportation to travel to regional quarries
• Valid Driver License and good driving record
• Able to work a flexible work schedule
• Attention to detail
• Ability to fit test & use PPE
• Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting)
• Ability to work second shift

Responsibilities

• Weighs trucks loaded with crushed stone and/or asphalt products and issues weigh slips to drivers.
• Keeps track of material totals to different jobs.
• Computes and records totals of tallied figures.
• Examines and sorts items tallied.
• Moves tallied items to storage, shipping, or production areas.
• Takes orders from contractors and private customers for crushed stone.
• Dispatches truck to job sites.
• Communicates with material suppliers, laborers, operators, and supervisors with job concerns.
• Provides excellent customer service with a positive attitude to both internal and external customers.
• Keeps track of traffic and weather conditions affecting schedules.
• Monitors petty cash.
• Other duties as assigned
