Job summary

Gordon Food Service is hiring for a 2nd Shift Warehouse Selector at our Wyoming, MI distribution center. The role requires you to stand for up to 10 hours, lift up to 100 pounds, and work in freezer environments. Training is provided; prior warehouse experience is welcome but not required.

You will be paid starting at $21.90 per hour, plus a $1.00 shift premium, with potential raises based on speed and efficiency. Weekly pay and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed.
• Able to work in extreme cold or hot conditions in a frozen product environment.
• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.
• Successfully pass a drug test and background check.
• Prior warehouse experience preferred, but not required.
• Veterans and active military members are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Select items for orders according to pick lists in a distribution center.
• Lifting up to 100 pounds and standing for long periods during a 10-hour shift.
• Work in freezer and cold environments as needed.
• Maintain safety, accuracy and efficiency to meet production goals.

Rotating 4 day Schedule (Work Until Job is Finished)

• Sunday - 2:15PM
• Monday - 2:30PM
• Tuesday - 2:30PM
• Wednesday - 2:30PM
• Thursday - 2:30PM
• Friday - 2:15PM

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed - holidays are very important to our customers!
• We have frozen products - your ability to work in extreme cold or hot conditions is required while you’re here.
• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English (to read labels, pick lists, scanners, signage, company website information related to benefits, updates, complete paperwork, and follow verbal instructions).
• Successfully pass a drug test that will assess drug usage and a background check.
• Prior warehouse experience preferred, but not required.
