Job summary

Molnlycke Health Care in Brunswick, ME is seeking a Warehouse Operator for 2nd shift (3:00PM – 1:00AM) to support our manufacturing of healthcare products. The role focuses on shipping/receiving, inventory organization, and SAP-based material handling.

Entry-level with paid training, starting pay $21.75/hour plus a $2 shift differential and paid breaks. Benefits include medical/dental/vision, 401(k) with match, and PTO; overtime and potential weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• Pre-employment physical, background check, and at least 2 professional references required.
• Proven success working in a team-based environment and meeting performance measures with minimal supervision.
• Ability to make well-reasoned decisions both independently and as part of a team.
• Effective communication and organization skills.
• Basic computer skills: MS Word, Excel, Access, Outlook.
• Ability to work overtime to meet production goals.
• Over 75% of workdays spent walking or standing.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Regular handling, lifting, carrying, pulling, pushing, reaching and grasping.
• Close vision and color vision are required; respirator use may be needed.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming raw material shipments and complete paperwork; label and store materials in SAP locations.
• Receive shipments from carriers and deliver packages to recipients; confirm accuracy.
• Participate in weekly inventory checks and coordinate with Purchasing for ordering.
• Coordinate removal of recyclable waste material as needed.
• Participate in physical inventory as scheduled.
• Assist with stocking and re-stocking of production areas.
• Put away excess materials and WIP in SAP areas.
• Suggest improvements to work instructions and safety practices.
• Update quality and production records as required.
• Analyze and resolve problems with Purchasing Manager.

Here's a snapshot of what you'll do:

The Warehouse and Shipping Operator is responsible for all shipping and receiving duties and maintain and organize the inventory and warehouse space in an efficient, organized, and safe fashion meeting ISO and FDA regulations.

• Receive incoming raw material shipments per company policy. Accurately review and complete all appropriate paperwork and documentation. Label and put raw materials in warehouse storage location specified by SAP.
• Receive misc. shipments from UPS/Fed Ex/USPS and deliver packages to recipients(s) and confirm accuracy.
• Participate in weekly support inventory checks to ensure common materials are kept in stock. Communicate any findings to Purchasing for ordering.
• Coordinate removal of recyclable waste material(s) as needed, i.e. used paper and film.
• Participate in physical inventory as scheduled.
• Assist with stocking and re-stocking of production, post-production, and packaging areas with raw materials as needed promoting FIFO processes.
• Put away excess raw materials and WIP in SAP designated areas of the warehouse.
• Recommend modifications to work instructions and/or procedures as necessary.
• Recommend improvements in workplace safety, use of equipment to improve quality, increase efficiencies, and improvement in production methods as necessary.
• Update quality and production records as required.
• Analyze and resolve work related problems with the assistance of Purchasing Manager.
• Responsible for the safe operation of assigned tasks.
• Responsible for housekeeping and maintaining a clean work area.
• Participate in implementing continuous improvement activities, including ISO 9001, ISO13485, and FDA requirements.
• Responsible for performing daily equipment inspections and maintenance tasks as required.

• Experience in production, manufacturing or related environment preferred, but not required.
