Job summary

The halia Area Chamber of Commerce is seeking a 2nd Shift Warehouse Operative (Equipment) to handle receiving, order filling, and shipping, with emphasis on safety, quality, productivity and housekeeping.

Responsibilities include verifying documentation, stocking, consolidating SKUs, pulling bulk products, resolving stock issues with Inventory Control, and operating power equipment. Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and work overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years verifiable experience in manufacturing or distribution.
• Basic computer skills and understanding of distribution operations.
• Ability to read and comprehend information and count inventory accurately.
• Able to lift up to 40 pounds repeatedly and frequently.
• Able to stand/walk for extended periods and climb stairs.
• Flexible to work overtime with little or no notice.

2nd Shift Warehouse Operative (Equipment)

Basic Function: Responsible for Receiving, Order filling and Shipping job functions while placing focus on safety, quality, productivity and housekeeping to meet daily goals and objectives.

Typical duties/responsibilities for quality may include, but are not limited to, the following:

• -Receive and verify documentation, sku #, quantities and overall quality from vendors
• -Stock product from vendors and plants into bulk locations
• -Consolidate product with the same sku #’s in bulk locations
• -Pull bulk product and place in pick zones
• -Consult with Inventory Control in resolving stock issues
• -Retrieve specified product from pick locations to ship
• -Transfer cartons from shipping lanes to stack onto pallets for loading
• -Meet and maintain department quality/productivity standards.
• -Able and certified to drive power industrial equipment as needed
• -Other duties as deemed necessary or assigned.

Expectations: Requires thorough knowledge of safety expectations. Requires ability to support resolution of complex problems, work with a diverse staff, communicate effectively, represent the organization, and collaboration with peers. Expects foresight to anticipate problems and recognize opportunities for improving operations.
