Description
Alexandria Moulding, an SBP Brand, is currently looking for a 2nd Shift Warehouse Associate - Order Puller. The Warehouse Associate is responsible for accurately and efficiently pulling and preparing Moulding orders for shipment or delivery. This individual ensures that all Moulding products are handled carefully and maintained in good condition. The role involves a strong attention to detail. The ability to operate warehouse equipment and working as part of a team to meet customer and company expectations.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Order Fulfillment
- Accurately pick and pull items from storage based on customer orders or shipping instructions.
- Verify order details and ensure the correct quantity and type of product are pulled.
- Packing and Preparation
- Safely pack and prepare items for shipping, including labelling, wrapping, and securing items to prevent damage during transit.
- Ensure items are loaded in a way that maximizes space and prevents damage.
- Inventory Control
- Assist with cycle counts and inventory checks to maintain accurate stock levels.
- Report inventory discrepancies or damage damaged goods to the warehouse supervisor.
- Equipment Operation
- Operate tuggers (cart puller), forklift or other warehouse equipment to move and organize inventory.
- Follow safety protocols when using motorized or manual equipment.
- Warehouse Organizations
- Organize and store materials in designed locations to keep the warehouse orderly and efficient.
- Ensure products are properly labeled, tagged, or marked.
- Quality Control
- Inspect products for any defects, damage, or quality issues before shipping.
- Notify supervisor to any quality concerns or issues with orders.
- Communicate and Teamwork
- Collaborate with the warehouse team members, supervisors, and other departments to fulfill orders.
- Communicate any issues or delays that may affect shipping timelines.
- Safety Compliance
- Follow all safety regulations and company policies to ensure a safe working environment.
- Report any safety hazards, incidents, or accidents to the warehouse manager immediately.
- General Warehouse Maintenance
- Keep the work area clean and organized, ensuring aisles are clear of debris and materials are stored properly.
- Assist with warehouse clean-up tasks as needed.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Attention to Detail: Ensure accuracy in order pulling, packing, and shipping to minimize errors and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, lift, bend, and carry heavy loads (up to 50 lbs) for extended periods throughout the workday.
- Basic Math Skills: Ability to count, verify quantities, and perform simple arithmetic for order accuracy and inventory control.
- Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet order deadlines and shipment schedules.
- Manual Dexterity: Good hand-eye coordination and ability to handle, grab, and manipulate materials quickly and safely.
- Teamwork: Strong ability to work collaboratively with others in the warehouse to fulfill orders efficiently and resolve any issues.
- Communication Skills: Effective verbal communication to interact with supervisors and team members and report issues or updates.
- Safety Awareness: Understanding and following safety procedures and protocols to avoid accidents and injuries in the warehouse environment.
- Warehouse Equipment Operation: Ability to operate equipment like forklifts, pallet jacks, and tuggers (training and certification may be required).
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to quickly resolve issues such as incorrect orders, damaged products, or stock shortages, and communicate with supervisors.
- Organization Skills: Ability to keep the warehouse organized by placing items in designated areas and maintaining an orderly work environment.
- Basic Computer Literacy (optional but beneficial): Ability to use warehouse management systems (WMS) or inventory software for order tracking, inventory management, and reporting
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
Physical Requirements:
- Standing and Walking: Must be able to stand and walk for 8 to 10 hours per day on concrete floors.
- Motorized Equipment Operation: Ability to operate a motorized tugger (cart puller) throughout the shift.
- Lifting/Carrying: Must be able to lift, carry, and handle products weighing up to 50 pounds throughout the entire workday.
- Body Movements: Frequent need to balance, bend, twist, carry, crouch, feel, grab, handle, kneel, lift, pull, push, reach, stoop, and twist to perform job duties.
- Work Environment: The position operates in a warehouse environment with no air conditioning, requiring adaptability to varying temperatures.
- Manual Dexterity: Ability to use hands and arms for reaching, handling, grabbing, and feeling materials, ensuring careful and accurate handling of products.
- Full Body Coordination: Required to look, pull, push, and move in a manner necessary to complete tasks efficiently and safely.
