Job summary

Lumbermen’s in Cottage Grove, MN is seeking a Warehouse Associate to assist with receipt, transfer, and storage of incoming freight and to pick and prepare orders for shipment in the Building Materials division.

Day-to-day duties include unloading and loading trucks, verifying products against packing lists, operating a forklift, and maintaining safe, accurate inventory. The role offers an ESOP, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), PTO, and a $300 annual clothing allowance.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Prior warehouse experience preferred.
  • Forklift experience required.

2nd Shift Position with a start time of 12PM to 2PM, Monday - Friday.
POSITION SUMMARY

Located at our Cottage Grove, MN location, the person in this position would assist with receipt, transfer, and storage of incoming freight, as well as picking and preparing orders for shipments in our Building Materials division. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Detail Oriented - Unloading incoming freight, verifying product against enclosed packing lists, sorting material by end destination and putting away excess stock.
  • Equipment Usage - Using fork trucks and order picking equipment.
  • Loading Products - Loading outbound transfer trucks.
  • Preparing Orders - Accurately pulling customer orders and preparing material for shipment
  • Safety - Securing and labeling products for delivery
  • Process - Transferring picked orders to staging area for delivery per the delivery schedule.
  • Open Communication - Assisting in cleaning and maintenance of warehouse.
  • Teamwork - Performing other tasks as assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor

This position offers a $300 annual clothing allowance to offset costs for work apparel, protective footwear, and PPE.

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
  • High School diploma/GED required.
  • Prior warehouse experience is preferred.
  • Previous Fork Lift Experience
REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Ability to accurately pull orders and load/unload trucks.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to operate a forklift
  • Ability to do physical labor including lifting of up to 75lbs.
