Job summary

Preferred Parking in Raleigh, NC seeks a diligent Valet Runner for 2nd shift. You will safely park and retrieve guest vehicles, greet guests, and keep the valet area organized, helping ensure a smooth arrival and departure.

This full-time, in-person role requires a valid driver's license, clean driving record, and the ability to work weekends and holidays. You'll need to work quickly in a fast-paced environment and maintain a professional appearance.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age with a valid driver's license for at least 3 years with a clean driving record.
• Highschool diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to drive both manual (stick shift) is a plus.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with professionalism.
• Physical ability to run, stand, and move quickly for extended periods.
• Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally (luggage or minor assistance)
• Physically able to bend, stoop and reach as needed.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• You are required to pass a motor vehicle record check, background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly, courteously, and professionally upon arrival and departure.
• Assist guests with directions, luggage, or other needs as appropriate.
• Deliver clear instructions on how the valet process works.
• Respond to guest inquiries and resolve concerns quickly and politely.
• Safely drive, park, and retrieve guest vehicles in a timely manner.
• Operate all types of vehicles (manual and automatic) in varying weather and traffic conditions with care and follow all traffic, parking, and safety laws.
• Verify vehicle condition upon intake and note any existing damages.
• Ensure keys are properly labeled, stored, and secured at all times. Ensure vehicles are locked at all times.
• Maintain a clean and organized valet stand and surrounding areas.
• Coordinate with other valet staff and supervisors to manage vehicle flow.
• Follow company procedures for handling tickets, payments, and tips (if applicable).
• Report any accidents, incidents, damages, or unusual and suspicious activity to management immediately.
