Job summary

DeKalb Health is seeking a production and packaging associate to safely and efficiently pack liquid and powder products from production tanks to finished goods containers. You'll also clean production tanks and pots to maintain quality and compliance.

In a manufacturing environment, you will operate capping and sealing machinery, handle hazardous materials with care, follow SOPs, maintain a clean work area, and collaborate with teammates to meet production goals.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of raw materials and packaging supplies.
  • Ability to identify and handle Hazardous Materials.
  • Strong organizational and attention to detail skills.
  • Capability to prioritize and work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Work with all employees, customers and vendors in a civil, professional and respectful manner at all times – verbally, non-verbally and in writing.
  • Operate pint capping/sealing machinery, 1 and 5 gal filler machine, pail vacuum system, closed loop cleaning system in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Retrieve packaging components and dispense high quality products from production tanks into containers by weight or volume that is attractive to the customer.
  • Accurately follows and completes wet pack sheets according to packaging components, labels, product, weights and volume.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Strive to learn new equipment.
  • Trained yearly if directly involved with handling (i.e. 90 day storage drum management, transporting, etc.) of hazardous waste drums.

Position Summary

Safely, accurately and efficiently pack out liquid and powder products from production tanks or bulk containers to finished goods unit containers. Also clean production tanks and pots.

Essential Job Functions
