Job summary

Rome Metals, Inc. is seeking an Ultrasonic Testing Technician (Quality Assurance) for its Appleton, WI facility. This 2nd shift role runs Mon-Thu, 2:30 pm–12:30 am, with paid training on site.

You will perform water immersion UT, inspect aerospace components, and ensure quality and safety standards are met. As part of the QA team, you will learn ATI-style processes, interpret blueprints, and contribute to continuous improvement while maintaining strong attention to detail and integrity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 2 years manufacturing experience or technical degree/certification preferred.
• NDT schooling or prior NDT work experience preferred.
• Military experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up water immersion ultrasonic testing and inspections.
• Examine and test components to determine material acceptability.
• Prepare material and calibrate equipment for testing procedures.
• Read blueprints/specifications and report results clearly.
