Overview

2nd Shift Tool Technician needs 2 years experience in CNC/machining background a plus Blueprint reading a plus Drill Press Sawing.

Responsibilities

• Drill Press.
• Sawing
• Operate Makino Milling Machines and other tool room equipment as trained, (i.e. Wheelabrator, manual mill and grinders) Tooling preparations i.e. breakdown, cleaning and building of tooling to be machined.
• Measure step heights on punches and log data into the tool room step list.
• Maintain punch cut records, compacting tool sign-out sheets and dispense to oven sheets.
• Receive tooling in from vendors; perform inspection of product related tooling as needed.
• Basic operation of computer used to transfer programs to the Makino mills.
• Safety, work in a safe manner.
• Assist with tooling inventory as needed.
• Assure production readiness of Tool and Die.
