Job summary

rms Company, part of the Cretex Medical family, seeks a Swiss CNC Machinist to operate Swiss CNC machines and inspect parts for tight tolerances in a medical device environment. The role includes machine setup, tool changes, and routine preventative maintenance. Strong GD&T knowledge and blueprint reading are required.

The position offers a 2nd shift (3:30 pm – 3:30 am) with a sign-on bonus based on experience; comprehensive benefits are provided to Cretex employees.

Swiss CNC Machinist Position Summary

The Swiss CNC Machinist operates CNC machines to support the manufacture of components and devices for the medical device industry.

Shifts Available: 2nd Shift - 3:30 pm - 3:30 am

Sign-On Bonus Available: $1,000-$5,000 dependent on level of experience!

Responsibilities

Swiss CNC Machinist Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate Swiss CNC machines
• Perform quality inspection on completed parts
• Perform preventative maintenance on Swiss CNC machines to ensure consistent machine performance
• Complete tool changes

Qualifications

Swiss CNC Machinist Position Requirements

• Operator experience with Swiss CNC machines
• Strong math background, preferable in machine math/shop math
• Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Experience using a microscope
• Ability to read measurement equipment such as micrometer, caliper, pressure micrometer

Swiss CNC Machinist Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Machining experience with medical components, devices, or instruments
• Previous experience with tight tolerances
• Programming experience with Swiss CNC Machines
• Experience with set‑up on Swiss CNC Machines
• Experience in troubleshooting of Swiss CNC Machines

Cretex Companies use cutting oils, solvents, and other chemicals in the manufacturing process. Testing is conducted on a periodic basis to ensure that all chemicals are kept well below the OSHA permissible exposure levels.

Pay Range

USD $21.20 - USD $40.67 /Hr.

Pay Range Details

This pay range reflects the base hourly rate or annual salary for positions within this job grade, based on our market-based pay structures. Actual compensation will depend on factors such as skills, relevant experience, education, internal equity, business needs, and local market conditions. While the full hiring range is shared for transparency, offers are rarely made at the minimum or maximum of the range.
