II Stanley in Battle Creek, Michigan, seeks an SMT Technician to run the surface mount technology line, load components, and keep a clean, organized work area while completing production documents. You will inspect boards for quality and perform maintenance on SMT equipment, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.

The role requires 2 years in automotive electronics manufacturing, PCB assembly experience, and the ability to learn and operate technical equipment independently.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years in automotive electronics manufacturing.
• PCB manufacturing experience.
• Understanding of basic electronics and PCB assemblies.
• Ability to learn and operate technical equipment independently.
• Must be available for weekend and daily overtime.
• Internal candidates are required to have under 3.00 attendance points.

BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for running the surface mount technology line and loading components
• Keep a clean and well organized work area
• Complete production related documents
• Make changes to machinery to accommodate different products
• Visually inspect boards to ensure quality
• Safely perform cleaning, changeover, preventive maintenance, and minor repairs on surface mount equipment

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Two (2) years in automotive electronics manufacturing
• PCB manufacturing experience
• Understanding of basic electronics and PCB assemblies
• Ability to learn and operate technical equipment independently
• Must be available for weekend and daily overtime
• Internal candidates are required to have under 3.00 attendance points.

OPTIONAL/PREFERRED SKILLS:

• Five (5) years of automotive electronics manufacturing with experience in surface mount technologies
• Excellent problem solving and organization skills
• Ability to troubleshoot and performs repairs on SMT equipment independently
• Good communication skills, teamwork, and attention to detail
• Understanding of advanced electronics
• Ability to troubleshoot PCB assemblies to component level

EDUCATION REQUIRED:

High School Diploma and Technical, mechanical or electronics training
