Job summary

I I Stanley Company, Inc., a leading supplier of automotive lighting products, headquartered in Battle Creek, Michigan, is seeking a 2nd Shift Supervisor - Assembly. The role oversees daily assembly operations, identifies process improvements, and provides direction to associates on the 2nd shift.

Ideal candidates will have assembly experience, leadership abilities, and flexibility to work overtime. The position requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 30 pounds, and adherence to safety

Qualifications

• 6+ months of assembly experience.
• Leadership experience (current or previous group leader).
• Able to work overtime on scheduled and unscheduled basis.

Responsibilities

• Identifying problems within the plant environment and take corrective action.
• Scheduling of daily overtime when required based on customer requirements and store conditions.
• Recordkeeping including production boards, process reject control charts, set up verifications, material usage logs and daily input of production.
• Monitoring of standard work charts and setup verification to ensure they are updated and accurate.
• Providing direction and training to other associates.
• Lead by example and adhere to plant rules and company policies.

shift: 2nd shift

BASIC RESPONSIBILITES:

• Identifying problems within the plant environment and take corrective action
• Scheduling of daily overtime when required based on customer requirements and store conditions
• A variety of recordkeeping including but not limited to; production boards, process reject control charts, set up verifications, material usage logs and daily input of production
• Monitoring of standard work charts and set up verification to ensure they are updated and accurate
• Providing direction and training to other associates
• The production supervisor will be responsible for adhering to plant rules and company policies as well as leading by example
• Position will be required to work overtime on a scheduled and unscheduled basis
  

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 6+ months of assembly experience
• I I Stanley associates must be in good standing with attendance
• Understanding of how to fill out basic IIS production documentation
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to understanding and follow verbal and written instructions
• Available for short notice and mandated overtime
• Must be able to lift up to 12 lbs. regularly at and above shoulder height
• Occasionally lift/pull up to 30 lbs.
• Must be able to stand for duration of shift (8-12 hours)
• Leadership experience (current or previous group leader)
• Ability to identify problems within the production environment and take corrective action
• Firm understanding of 2S 3D procedures
• Demonstrated ability to work overtime upon request

In most cases the position will be required to stand for extended periods, use hands and fingers to handle or feel. The position may occasionally need to lift/pull up to 50 pounds and have specific vision abilities related to close and color vision. While performing the job this position is frequently exposed to moving vehicles/machinery and factory equipment. This work environment has a moderate noise level due to working with factory machinery. The position may be required to work unscheduled overtime to meet deadlines and requirements.
