Job summary

Alcami is seeking a Visual Inspection Technician II to support quality inspection of sterile injectable products for commercial distribution and clinical trials. The role follows SOPs and cGMPs, trains less experienced technicians, and interacts with customers as needed.

This is a 2nd shift, on-site position requiring PPE gowning and attention to detail. Responsibilities include documenting activities, performing visual inspections, counting components, and ensuring products meet appearance

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree preferred.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience required.
• cGMP or prior work experience in a regulated environment preferred.
• Prior pharmaceutical or CDMO experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follows SOPs and cGMPs to perform duties.
• Ensures timely completion and compliance with training requirements.
• Conducts visual inspection of sterile liquids per guidelines.
• Visually identifies debris, air lines, and defects in sterile liquids.
• Documents activities in real time per SOPs and cGMPs.
• Performs component counting and basic math calculations.
• Performs cleaning of rooms, tools, and equipment.
• Performs specific visual inspections per SOPs.
• Ensures product meets appearance specs before packaging.
• Performs bulk packaging for product vials for shipment.
• Operates material handling equipment.
• Trains and coaches other technicians; provides work instructions.
• Oversees daily assignments in absence of supervisor.
• Occasional hours outside shift, including weekends.
