Job summary

Vistar, America's leading candy, snack, and beverage distributor, is hiring a Forklift Operator for the 2nd shift (12 pm–8 pm, Sunday–Thursday) in Memphis, TN. You will operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move goods, replenish stock, and support the distribution process while upholding GMP and safety standards.

Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent.
6+ months of warehouse and/or distribution work experience.
Must be able to work the scheduled / assigned times and required overtime for the position.
Able to stand, walk, reach, and lift repeatedly throughout shift; able to lift, stack, and/or pull products from shelves, weighing 10-35 pounds and up to 60-90 pounds depending on location.
Able to work in multi-temperature environments (cooler, freezer, dry).
Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

Locates proper slot on storage racks and sets pallets in place with forklift or hand stack items.
Counts incoming freight in the staging area and transports to freezer with forklift/pallet jack.
Replenishes pick slots with outgoing stock according to next day's work orders.
Rotates date-sensitive stock to the front of the rack and removes outdated inventory.
Disperses over-stocked items to available slots and performs general housekeeping duties.
Inspects items for damage and conducts temperature and quality checks as needed.
