Job description
Responsibilities and Duties
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols to determine project requirements.
Weld and fabricate stainless steel and other metals using TIG and other welding techniques.
Cut, grind, fit, and assemble materials to precise measurements and tolerances.
Set up and operate welding machines, torches, grinders, and related shop equipment.
Inspect completed welds and assemblies to ensure compliance with codes, standards, and project specifications.
Maintain proper documentation of welds, materials, and quality control checks.
Follow safety protocols, including proper use of PPE and adherence to OSHA and company safety policies.
Assist with material handling, loading, and staging of fabricated components for delivery.
Collaborate with shop foreman, project managers, and field crews to meet deadlines and support project schedules.
Perform equipment maintenance and report issues with tools, machines, or materials.
Keeps work area clear of unnecessary clutter and performs routine clean-up as needed.
All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum 1 year welding experience.
