Job summary

Smurfit Westrock in Knox, Indiana, is seeking a Slitter Operator for the 2nd shift (4:00pm-2:00am, Monday-Thursday) at our Food Service Packaging plant. The role focuses on safe slitting/manufacturing of laminated board and requires attention to quality and safety procedures.

Overtime may be required. The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of laminating/slitting experience, can read a tape measure, and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Preferred 3-5 years of laminating and/or slitting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Read, interpret, and understand job jackets, specs, and tags.
• Complete paperwork and system transactions accurately and timely.
• Maintain GMP compliance and NSF/GMP housekeeping standards.
• Follow safety procedures and promote safety programs.
• Perform quality checks with customers and departments.
