Job summary

Sauder is seeking a shuttle driver to move finished products safely through the facility. The role involves loading/unloading trailers, maintaining radio communication with dispatch, and ensuring equipment is safe and secure.

You will operate across three shifts, participate in team meetings, and contribute to safety, quality, and productivity goals. Regular attendance is required as a critical member of the logistics team.

• CDL is a must for this role.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload live bed trailers from conveyors. Drop & hook trailers.
• Maintain radio communications with shuttle dispatcher.
• Verify equipment is in safe condition and report repairs as needed.
• Transport material safely, ensure gates are set and product is secure.
• Load/unload pallets.
• Participate in team meetings and continuous improvement.
• Communicate effectively to support team relations and goals.
• Work across three shifts with other teams on the same shift.
• Regular attendance is required for this position.

The shuttle driver moves finished product through the Sauder complex in a safe and efficient manner.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Load and unload live bed trailers from and to conveyors. Drop & hook trailers.


• Maintain radio communications with shuttle dispatcher.


• Verify equipment is in safe working condition and notifies the dispatcher when repairs are needed.


• Transport material in a safe manner, verify gates are in place and product is secure.


• Load/unload pallets.


• Contribute toward setting and achieving goals consistent with Process/Dept/ Co goals.


• Work at continuous improvement in safety, quality, productivity, relations, work skills, etc.


• Communicate effectively to build strong and positive team relations.


• Attend and participate in team meetings.


• Work effectively as a three-shift team and with the other teams on the same shift.


• Regular attendance is required for this position.
