Job summary

Neogen Corporation is seeking a Warehouse Associate for the 2nd shift (2PM-10:30PM) in Mount Sterling, IL. You will support inbound and outbound distribution, operate distribution equipment, and process orders using RF scanners and barcode systems.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and at least six months of distribution experience; forklift certification and RF scanner experience are a plus. This is a full-time, on-site position with potential overtime.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate distribution equipment in the warehouse.

• Use barcode scanners and paperwork to fulfill orders and ship goods.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Safely operate all necessary distribution equipment
• Understanding of bar code scanner to include:
• Small Parcel: UPS, Fed-Ex, DHL shipments
• Pallet orders: LTL
• Pallet orders: TL/ Large orders
• International Shipments
• Special customer requirements
• Maintain a professional attitude to promote a positive work environment for all employees
• Work overtime as assigned by management team.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze and interpret common shipping reports and regulatory documents regarding shipping. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to lower level management.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Must have a valid driver’s license.
