Job summary

Health Systems Cooperative Laundries in Minnesota is seeking a FULL TIME Shipping Associate to support loading dock operations, scanning and weighing finished products, and ensuring quality control for hospital customers.

The role requires standing for long hours, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working Sundays through Wednesdays and Fridays with Thursdays and Saturdays off; overtime may be required. This position is on-site in a fast-paced, non-climate-controlled production environment.

We are currently hiring for a FULL TIME Shipping Associate to join our team!

Schedule: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday with Thursday and Saturday off

Hours: 3:30PM-12AM with mandatory overtime

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsible for scanning, weighing, and recording every cart or package of finished product before it is shipped to the client hospital. Also responsible for properly positioning the finished carts in the correct order and staging location at the loading dock. Also responsible for inspecting the carts and linens to ensure a high level of finished product quality.

KNOWEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Basic knowledge of safety standards.
• Proactive and self-motivated, with an attention to detail and follow-through.
• Ability to work and communicate in a richly diverse environment.
• Good communication skills.
• Must be able to stand for the duration of the shift.
• Perform repetitive motions throughout the shift such as push, pull, and lift.
• Energetic, self-starter.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Basic ability to read, speak, and understand English.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Fast-paced production environment - non-climate-controlled environment. Union environment with diverse workforce with multiple languages. Seven days per week operation - weekends required - nights may be required.
