Job summary

Adler Pelzer Group in Athens, TN is seeking a 2nd Shift Shipping and Receiving Forklift Driver to support production operations. You will operate forklifts, verify shipments, and help maintain safe, efficient plant flow.

This role requires reading work instructions, lifting up to 25 pounds, and occasional overtime, including weekends. We offer competitive pay, benefits, and opportunities to grow with a global Tier One supplier.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and comprehend operational work instructions.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds overhead as needed.
• Ability to sit for long periods of time.
• Ability to work necessary overtime, which may include weekend work.

Responsibilities

• Ensures forklift truck is fully safe to operate by checking for safety items and completing forklift check sheet at beginning of each shift.
• Follows operational procedures for activities, such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments and handling and disposition of materials.
• Accepts assignments and other responsibilities as required in support of team objectives.
• Maintains good housekeeping in work area and throughout the plant.
• Adheres to applicable IATF requirements.
• All other duties assigned as required to support the plant and its operations.

Adler Pelzer Group - a growing global Tier One supplier of Acoustic and Soft Trim products to the automotive industry is seeking motivated and committed Forklift Operators for the manufacturing operations in Athens, TN (off of I-75 freeway between Chattanooga and Knoxville).

The Forklift Operator will assist production operations in the manufacturing of the highest quality automotive products as assigned to meet or exceed customer requirements. This role performs all functions as team player contributing to the success of the whole.

The following are the major duties and responsibilities of the Forklift Operator:
