Job summary

Cummins Inc. in Plainfield, IN is seeking a 2nd Shift Senior Manufacturing Shop Operations Team Manager for the Cummins Drivetrain and Braking Systems facility.

You will lead a high-performing team, drive lean manufacturing, and ensure safety and quality while meeting production targets. You will develop talent, optimize material flow, manage inventory accuracy, and foster cross-functional collaboration across shifts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of supervisory experience.
• Lean management background with ability to drive continuous improvement.
• Experience in inventory accuracy, cycle counts, and location control.
• Focus on safety culture, material staging, and risk mitigation.
• Ability to communicate shortages and priorities across shifts.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop teams to meet operational priorities.
• Drive continuous improvement and waste reduction across shifts.
• Ensure safe PIV operations and proper material handling practices.
• Coach and mentor staff, support career development, and succession planning.
