Job summary

Mattel Fort Worth Distribution Center is seeking a Security Officer to help protect employees, guests, products and brands. The role is on-site with weekend and holiday shifts, starting Saturday through Wednesday, 2:00 PM–10:30 PM.

Responsibilities include enforcing policies, patrolling facilities, monitoring access and CCTV, and documenting incidents. Strong communication and situational awareness are essential.

Qualifications

• One+ years of Security, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, Law Enforcement or military background preferred.
• Must possess a valid Texas Level II Security License.
• High school diploma or GED, required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must be certified in First Aid, CPR, and Blood-borne Pathogens, OR willing to obtain certification through Mattel training.

Responsibilities

• Support Mattel’s security strategy to protect people, assets, and reputation.
• Enforce security policies to create a safe environment for employees and visitors.
• Perform patrols on foot, in vehicle, and digitally to monitor the distribution center.
• Monitor access control systems, CCTV, and guard tour management systems.
• Ensure parking lot safety and incident documentation; use MS Office for reporting.
• Maintain confidentiality with IP processes and adhere to company standards.

Job Description

The Opportunity:

As a Security Officer you play an important role in protecting Mattel’s employees, guest(s), product(s) and brands. The ideal candidate is flexible, collaborative, detail oriented, has strong communication skills, and prioritization skills. This position is located at Mattel’s Distribution Center in Ft. Worth, Tx. This is an on-site position and includes weekend and holiday work. Schedules may vary based on business needs.

What Your Impact Will Be:

• Support Mattel’s Global Security Strategy to protect people, assets, and Mattel’s reputation by providing exceptional customer service and consistently applying policies and practices.
• Enforce Mattel Global Security policies and practices to create a safe and secure environment for all employees and visitors.
• Completes security duties and related tasks asdefinedin the Contingency Operations and SOP manuals under the direction of the Security Leader/Shift Supervisorand SecurityManager.
• Completessecurity patrols onfoot, in a vehicleand digitallyto monitor theMattelDistribution Centerforphysicalsecurity, safetyand facilities-related concerns.
• Effectively monitors the access control system, CCTV system, and the “guard tour” management system.
• Monitors the fire control panel for alarms and any problems with equipment. Reports any service/maintenance issues to Maintenance personnel.
• Perform administrative data entry duties as assigned by the Shift Supervisors and Security Leader,for incident documentation and communications viathe Microsoft suite.
• Ensureadherenceto access control standardsincludingtheemployeebadge policy,visitor registration,temporary or contract workercheck-insandintern badging along withother visitor types.
• Ensureparking lot safetyby conducting patrols of the parking lots, enforcing parking lot rules and completingaccidentinvestigations.
• Support IP (IntellectualProperty)processsurrounding confidentiality andcontrolleddestructionof IPper Mattel standards.
• Additionalresponsibilitiesas assigned bysupervisor ormanager.
• Flexibility to work on multiple shiftsand/or shift timesto support business needs.
• This is an onsite position and does not allow for remote work.

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For:

• One+ years of Security, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, Law Enforcement or military background preferred.

• Ability to effectively respond to all types of situations in a confidential manner. Possess the ability toremain calmduringanemergency or stressfulsituation.
• Working knowledge of PCs and software including MS Windows, Microsoft Office,CCTV and access control is a plus.
• Must be able to work varying shifts including nights, holidays, and weekends.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpretgeneral business policies, professional journals, technical procedures,or governmental regulations.
• Ability to write reports,andbusiness correspondence,including detailed incident reports writing.
• Display exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to stand and walk, go up/downstairs and stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Outdoor postassignments may require an individual to withstand extreme heat, humidity, cold and/or severe weather (e.g. snow, sleet, rain, hail, wind).
• Ability to usepost-securityequipment (handheld and walk-thru metal detectors,handheldradios, access control systems, CCTV).

The pay range for this position is between $17 and $20 per hour.
