Job summary

The St. Johnsbury School District is hiring for a 2nd shift Maintenance and Custodian to join our facilities team in Saint Johnsbury, Vermont. The role focuses on routine and preventative maintenance, floor care, and general facilities support to ensure safe, clean, and reliable school operations.

Shifts run from 2:30pm to 11:00pm during the school year, with summer hours 6am to 3:30pm. This full-time, non-exempt position offers paid time off and a benefits package, with pay based on knowledge

Qualifications

• At least 5 year(s) of relevant experience preferred.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative building maintenance and general facilities support.
• Maintain floors and other surfaces through commercial floor care.
• Identify maintenance needs and respond to work orders, completing repairs within scope.
• Communicate issues requiring escalation to the Facilities Director.
