Job summary

HES Facilities is seeking a Custodian for the Mokena Public Schools campus on the 2nd shift (3:30pm-12am). This full-time role emphasizes daily cleaning tasks across classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and common areas to maintain a safe, welcoming school environment.

Candidates should have a solid work history, be reliable, and able to work as part of a team in a fast-paced setting. Background checks and fingerprinting are required, with E-Verify as part of screening.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous cleaning experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, dust, mop, vacuum, and clean restrooms daily.
• Handle trash removal and recycling and maintain floors.
• Clean windows and surfaces and assist with general facility upkeep.
• Follow custodial supervisor's directions and safety procedures.
