Job summary

Jefferson County Public Schools seeks a Custodian (2nd Shift) at Hartstern Elementary School for the 2026-2027 school year. Location: Hartstern Elementary.

Salary range: $16.13–$19.24 per hour, 261 days per year, 8 hours per day; position includes a $3.50 per hour critical need stipend. Responsibilities include efficient cleaning of district buildings under supervision and adherence to established standards; must have a high school diploma or GED, ability to operate cleaning equipment, and

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to perform basic commercial cleaning tasks in schools and office buildings.
• Ability to use/operate commercial cleaning equipment.
• Effective communication skills.
