Job summary

Jefferson County Public Schools is hiring for a Custodian (2nd Shift) at DuPont Manual High. This position covers 2nd shift with 8.0 hours per day, 261 days per year, salary range $16.13 to $19.24 per hour plus a $3.50 per hour critical need stipend. Internal bids must be submitted by 11/04/2026. Duties include cleaning in district buildings under supervision, equipment operation, and clear communication with staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to perform basic commercial cleaning tasks in schools and office buildings.
• Ability to use/operate commercial cleaning equipment.
• Excellent communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Provide efficient, quality cleaning (housekeeping) in district buildings under supervision.
• Carry out cleaning tasks following established practices and standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment according to district policies.
