The Quality Technician performs quality control checks and is responsible to ensure that products comply with quality standards.
What you’ll do:
- Documents discrepancies and working with other Engineering personnel on resolution.
- Selects common testing methods / tools and standards for ensuring products are accurately and thoroughly tested.
- Assists in planning and managing all quality control efforts.
- Be a role model for other employees.
- Responds to customer requests in a timely manner.
- Reports to personnel as described in the Company’s organizational structure.
- Responsible for all internal audits including;
- Scheduling and performing audits
- Reviewing and approving of internal audits
- Initiating any necessary corrective actions associated with internal and external audits.
- Conduct meetings with internal auditors and appropriate personnel being audited when required.
- Assist Regulatory Compliance Expert in preparing for Customer audits of C&S systems including escorting auditor and providing necessary information as needed.
- Conducting and completing outside supplier audits as requested.
- Support internal and external audit initiatives including various Inspections and certifications.
What we’re looking for:
- Demonstrated proficiency with micrometers, calipers, height gauges, gauge blocks, plug gauges, thread gauges and dial indicators, etc.
- Proficiency with geometric design tolerance.
- Knowledge of ISO9000 Standards.
- Internal Auditing experience.
- Vision test result of Jaeger #2 at no less than 14 inches and must also have color perception to complete inspections.

- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- MATHMATICAL SKILLS
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- REASONING ABILITY
- To solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written oral, diagram, or schedule format.
- COMPUTER SKILLS
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
- Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear
