PurposeBuilt Brands is hiring a 2nd Shift Quality Inspector in Manchester, TN. You will inspect raw materials, outsourced products, and finished goods, ensuring compliance with quality standards and documenting findings for the Supply Chain team.

You will support line readiness, train staff on quality procedures, and archive production records. The role requires standing for long periods and may involve laboratory-style testing and verification of packaging, weights, colors, odor, and labels.

Qualifikationen

• 1-2 years Quality Inspection experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Ability to perform all tasks while continuously standing.
• Previous Laboratory chemical testing experience in a manufacturing environment a plus.

Aufgaben

• Inspect the quality of raw materials and outsourced products.
• Document defective findings and communicate quality issues to Supply Chain to resolve the issue.
• Check the filling line before each production run to ensure correct packaging materials and line cleanliness.
• Inspect finished products for fill weight, heat seal, color, odor, lot number, application and torque, general appearance, and pallet configurations.
• Document quality control findings and review daily production batch records.
• Archive production records and related quality documents; train production staff on quality procedures; work with production to resolve issues.
• Perform detailed QC inspection of first runs of new products; test chemicals and finished products to ensure compliance.

The Role:

The Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring that finished products and raw materials meet quality control requirements. This position interacts with the production, purchasing, and shipping departments.

What You Will Do:

• Inspect the quality of the raw materials & outsourced products that require inspection
• Document defective raw material & outsourced product findings and communicate quality issues to Supply chain, working to resolve the quality issue
• Check the filling line before each production run to ensure that:
  • All correct packaging materials are in the filling area prior to production.
  • Filling line was cleaned and validated (if required)
• Inspect quality of finished products for the following:
  • fill weight
  • heat seal
  • verify color and odor
  • lot number
  • application and torque
  • general appearance
  • pallet configurations
  • other
• Document quality control findings.
• Review daily production batch records
• Archiving of production records and associated quality documents
• Train production personnel on quality procedures
• Work with the production department to resolve quality issues associated with finished products
• Perform detailed quality control inspection of first runs of new products
• When necessary, inspect, sample, and test raw materials, packaging components, labels, in-process materials, and finished products to ensure compliance with established quality specifications as established by Quality and Compliance and R&D.
• Test chemical solutions and finished products as necessary to ensure they meet quality and specification requirements.
