Job summary

Hayden Valley Foods in Kentucky is seeking a Quality Control Technician to verify incoming materials and finished products meet internal and customer specifications. You will support food safety and quality processes, monitor manufacturing operations, and maintain clear documentation.

  • Support pest control, audits, and regulatory/compliance activities.
  • Maintain legible, complete documentation and translate technical data as needed.
  • Balance operational needs with customer expectations.

Job description

The Quality Control Technician is responsible for verifying that incoming materials and finished products are properly manufactured by meeting the requirements of internal and customer specifications. In addition, QC Techs are expected to be technically knowledgeable regarding plant processes and procedures in order to provide oversight and technical support for operations.

  • Verify incoming and finished product conformance to internal company standards and customer specifications per company procedures including:
  • Verification of Food Safety and Quality processes (SOP's, SSOP's, GMPs)
  • Hold implementation.

This position is a position that operates in a plant/warehouse operational environment.

Physical Demands

This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time, non-exempt position, and a minimum of 40 hours per week is required. This position occasionally requires overtime and occasional weekend work based on operational needs.

Required Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Experience with documenting data and performing analytical calculations.
Preferred Education and Experience
  • Food plant operations experience.
  • Educational experience in analytical, chemical, biological or food sciences
