Job summary

CEVA Logistics in Plainfield, IN is seeking a Quality Inspector to perform random sampling inspections across Receiving, Production, Programming, Picking, Shipping and Reverse Logistics, and to accurately document inspection results, non‑conformities, and rework.

You will ensure compliance with inspection procedures, communicate issues to management promptly, and maintain professionalism with coworkers while upholding a strong commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for daily random inspections across all DC areas to ensure customer spec compliance.
• Identify and document inspection findings, non-conformances, and re-work results with clear records.
• Immediately notify management of non-conformities for prompt corrective action and re-work.
• Perform ad hoc customer inspections as directed by QC Management.
• Ensure compliance with all inspection procedures.
• Maintain a professional, cooperative attitude with coworkers and supervisors.
• Maintain a strong commitment to quality at all times.
• Respect and proper use of all equipment in the role.
• Identify and report problems promptly.

Job description

• Plus, a $0.75/hr Shift Diff between the hours of 6:00pm and 6:00am

Shift: Monday - Friday 3:30pm - 12:00am

Location: 1451 All Points Ct, Plainfield, IN 46168

Purpose/Function:

Performs random sampling inspections in Receiving, Production, Programming, Picking, Shipping, and Reverse Logistics. Accurately documents all inspection results, non-conformities and re-work.

Major Essential Functions:

• Accountable for daily random inspections in all areas of the distribution center to ensure compliance to customer requirements and specifications. Inspection samples are determined based on the ANSI/ASQC Z1.4-1993 standard.
• Identify and accurately document all inspection, non-conformance and re-work results. Provide accurate, legible and complete documentation.
• Immediately communicate all inspection sample non-conformities to department management for prompt corrective action and re-work.
• Perform ad hoc customer inspections as directed by Quality Control Management.
• Ensure compliance with all inspection procedures.
• Maintain a professional, helpful attitude in dealings with co-workers, supervisors, and their departmental personnel at all times.
• Maintain a strong commitment to quality at all times.
• Maintain respect for all equipment used in the performance of your job.
• Must identify and report problems in a timely manner.
