Job summary

Sargento Foods Inc. is seeking a dependable team player for the 2nd shift (M-F, 2pm-10pm) in our Wisconsin facility. You will ensure the line has necessary materials and equipment, read production orders, and support with setup and sanitation.

The role emphasizes accuracy, collaboration, and adherence to food safety standards. Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, be 18+, and be willing to obtain forklift certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; or enrolled with anticipated completion within 12 months.
• Prior manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Willingness to complete forklift certification upon hire.
• Ability to learn and carry out lock out tag out procedures as required.
• Lifting up to 50 lbs is required.
• Ability to perform data entry for inventory systems and labeling software.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the production line has necessary materials and equipment for timely orders.
• Read and verify production orders for accuracy.
• Operate and assist with production equipment and setup.
• Work safely as part of a team to produce quality Sargento products.
• Communicate effectively and accurately regarding production needs.
• Maintain food safety and quality standards on the line.
• Assist with inventory and labeling system data entry as needed.
• Support with cleanup and sanitation of equipment and production areas.

Responsible for ensuring the production line has all of the necessary component materials and equipment to accomplish the orders at hand in a timely manner. The position requires knowledge of scanning procedures, identifying materials, equipment requirements, equipment operation, and planning skills

What You Do.

• Work safely as part of a team to produce quality Sargento products.
• Read and understand production orders to verify information is correct.

Your Education And Experience.

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED/HSED) required or minimally enrolled with anticipated completion in 12 months or less
• Prior manufacturing experience is a plus

• Willingness to complete fork lift certification upon hire.
• Ability to learn and carry out lock out tag out procedures as required.
• Lifting 50 lbs.
• Ability to perform data entry for inventory systems and labeling software.
