Job summary

Elyria Plastic Products (EPP) is seeking a 2nd Shift Production Supervisor with a strong background in plastic injection molding and processing. You will spend your shift on the floor, leading a team, troubleshooting issues, maintaining flow, supporting quality, and helping employees succeed.

This is a working supervisor role where you will actively supervise 10–20 production staff, ensure safety and schedule adherence, and drive improvements across production methods and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Previous plastic injection molding and processing experience.
• Previous manufacturing supervisory or leadership experience.
• Strong understanding of production processes and troubleshooting.
• Ability to read and understand production schedules and specifications.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Willingness to be hands-on and actively involved on the production floor.
• Ideal candidate understands injection molding and can troubleshoot and lead.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support production employees throughout the shift.
• Review production schedules and prioritize work accordingly.
• Monitor production, quality, scrap, and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot injection molding and production issues in real time.
• Train, coach, and develop production employees.
• Identify opportunities to improve production methods, efficiency, equipment, and quality.
• Coordinate with Maintenance, Quality, Production, Management, and other departments to resolve problems.
