Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing is seeking a 2nd shift welder to set up and operate resistance spot welders and power presses, joining metal stock while maintaining strict quality and safety standards. You will inspect parts, document non-conformances, and support continuous improvement efforts in a fast-paced plant environment.

The role requires standing 8–10 hours, reading and following work instructions in English, and flexibility for overtime/weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• Able to read, write, speak and understand English sufficiently to follow work instructions and safety procedures.
• Must be 18 years or older and able to stand for 8–10 hours.
• 2nd shift (5:00 PM–1:30 AM) with occasional overtime or weekend work.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate resistance spot welders and/or power press to weld, trim, punch, shape, notch, draw, or crimp metal, composite, or plastic stock.
• Ensure adherence to Challenge Manufacturing Quality Policy and work instructions.
• Inspect parts for conformance and document non-conformances; report to team leader/quality inspector.
• Maintain housekeeping and safety in the work area; log paperwork and track flow of product.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and participate in training as required.
