RCD Components Inc. in Arcade, NY is seeking a Production Lead for the 2nd shift (1:30 pm to 10 pm). You will coordinate workflow, support the production team, and help ensure output and quality on the floor.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in electronic or electromechanical production, strong assembly/test/machine operation skills, IPC certification, and proven leadership ability to train others. This role emphasizes on-time schedules, safety, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in electronic or electromechanical production.
• Advanced assembly, testing, or machine operation skills.
• Ability to guide, train, or support others on the floor.
• IPC certification or equivalent technical training.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and production flow.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and lead by example with professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced assembly, testing, or machine operation per production needs.
• Provide on-the-floor direction and technical guidance to technicians and operators.
• Train and mentor employees on processes, equipment, safety standards, and quality.
• Oversee workflow, priorities, and adherence to production schedules.
• Verify travelers, documentation, work instructions, and material availability.
• Conduct in-process quality checks and document results.
• Identify workflow, equipment, or process issues and escalate as needed.
• Support continuous improvement including 5S, waste reduction, and process optimization.
• Communicate daily updates and priorities to supervisors and cross-functional teams.
• Provide feedback to leadership on performance and training needs.
