Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America (DFA) is a dairy marketing cooperative seeking a Processing Assistant in Richmond, IN. The role involves operating all production equipment to meet production and quality standards, and CIP systems.

You will work on UHT and aseptic processing lines, set up and clean equipment, and maintain accurate production records. Our DFA team values reliability and teamwork in a fast-paced dairy processing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Production or general work experience preferred.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Operate production equipment at or above required standards.
• Set up, CIP and clean UHT and aseptic processing systems and equipment.
• Set up and clean related raw and pasteurized equipment (tanks, lines, batch systems).
• Perform assigned PMs and rebuild valves, pumps and homogenizer.
• Operate CIP separator and other related equipment.
• Lift 50 to 100 lbs repetitively.
• Work in hot, humid conditions.
• Complete and maintain records per company/state/federal requirements.

DUTIES

• MAKE MIX/BATCHING FOR UHT AND ASEPTIC SYSTEMS.
• SET UP, CIP AND CLEAN UHT AND ASEPTIC PROCESSING SYSTEMS AND ALL ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT.
• SET UP, CIP AND CLEAN ASSOCIATED RAW AND PASTEURIZED EQUIPMENT (TANKS, LINES, BATCH SYSTEMS, etc.)
• PERFORM ASSIGNED PM's, REBUILD VALVES,PUMPS AND HOMOGENIZER, ETC.
• OPERATE AND CIP SEPARATOR AND OTHER ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT
• LIFT 50 TO 100 LBS. ON A REPETITIVE BASIS.
• WORK IN HOT, HUMID CONDITIONS.
• COMPLETE AND MAINTAIN ALL ASSOCIATED RECORDS IN ACCORDANCE WITH COMPANY, STATE AND FEDERAL REQUIRMENTS.
• ADHERE TO ALL GOOD MANUFACTURING PRACTICES.DUTIES AS ASSIGN
