Job summary

Barnes Aerospace West Chester OEM division seeks a 2nd shift Press Set Up Operator to join our production team. Ideal candidates are quick learners with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Shift hours are 3:30 p.m.

to 2:00 a.m. Monday–Thursday, reporting to the Production Supervisor. Responsibilities include set up/operation of cell equipment, TPM, quality checks with precision tools, and cross-training within the cell.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in a production with set up.
• Mechanical and/or Hydraulic Press set up experience required.
• Able to use basic math for measurements and calculations.
• Able to communicate verbally and in writing about work requirements, progress or completion.

Responsibilities

• Set up and/or operate cell equipment.
• Perform TPM on equipment as required.
• Responsible for cell productivity and quality of all product produced in area.
• Responsible for in-cell cross-training.
• Use precision measuring tools to check parts for correct fit and dimensions.
• Responsible for 6S and Lean improvements in cell.
• Support production by working when manpower is unavailable.
• Follow area priority board to meet daily production requirements.
• Communicate daily issues to Supervisor, update daily production boards.
