Job summary

Stellant Systems in Torrance, CA is seeking a Mechancial Assembler for 2nd shift to build sub-assemblies for traveling wave tube (TWT) products used in military applications. You will follow detailed process instructions, use hand tools, fixtures, measuring devices, and operate furnaces to assemble small TWT components, ensuring quality, cost, and production goals are met.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent is needed.
• 1-3 years of operations or manufacturing-related work experience, general knowledge of mechanical assembly processes and procedures, with previous precision mechanical assembly experience preferred.
• Experience working in a clean room is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic mechanical assembly including vac assemblies, subs, packaging, magnet stack, high vac testing, circuits and related duties in the manufacture of traveling wave tubes.
• Set up and operate assembly and process equipment to manufacture and process TWTs through final acceptance and delivery.
• Work in clean room conditions as required and handle computerized equipment to input and retrieve information.
• Read and interpret engineering prints/documentation, ensuring handwritten entries are neat and properly stamped.
• Maintain timely documentation of time charging and labor against jobs.
