Job summary

TTM Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Plating Operator to operate chemical plating lines for PCB panels, monitor baths, and perform quality checks. You will read blueprints and traveler documents to ensure compliance with customer specs, perform preventative maintenance, and document all steps.

The role requires safety adherence and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Joining a leading global PCB manufacturer, you’ll work in a fast-paced environment with cross-training opportunities and exposure

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous chemical handling experience preferred.
  • Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Previous PCB experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Operate chemical plating lines to process PCBs.
  • Set and maintain plating equipment within parameters.
  • Read blueprints and traveler documents to ensure production per specs.
  • Monitor timers and bath conditions during plating.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on chemical machines.
  • Complete departmental documentation and quality checks.
  • Cross-train and assist production as needed.

Scope

The Plating Operator is responsible for operating various chemical plating lines to ensure that accurate cycles are ran to chemical plate metals and other materials to printed circuit boards (PCBs). Operator will be required to work around various hazardous chemicals and undergo chemical handling training.

  • Operate wet process equipment for PCB panel processing through functions which include manual copper plating, solder plating, silver immersion, gold immersion, electroless copper, electrolytic gold, outer layer etching, organic coating, and hot air level processing.
  • Set and maintain chemical processing equipment within operational parameters
  • Manually set timers on manual chemical lines and monitor when timers are completed
  • Cautiously load racks in plating tanks while ensuring proper temperature/current of baths
  • Read blueprints and traveler documents to produce and move products according to customer specifications and to verify that all previous operations were completed
  • Perform Preventative maintenance on all chemical machines as workload allows
  • Follow all departmental process procedures correctly
  • Complete all departmental documentation accurately
  • Complete quality checks when product arrives in and exits the department
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by management and cross-train as needed to assist production

Education and Experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Previous chemical handling experience preferred
  • Previous manufacturing experience preferred
  • Previous PCB experience preferred

Compensation for roles at TTM Technologies varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience. As required by local law, TTM provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in New York, California and Colorado. For California-based roles, compensation ranges are based upon specific physical locations.
