Job summary

Airgas USA, LLC in Ringgold, GA is seeking a 2nd shift Plant Operator to manage equipment, perform inspections and support filling operations for industrial gases.

You will operate forklifts, monitor process equipment, and document maintenance and production activities while following safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Applicants should be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: experience in plant operations, industrial maintenance, or related field.
• Technical certification in industrial operations is a plus.
• Industrial Gas Experience.
• Excellent attention to detail and thoughtful organizational skills.
• Commitment to safety and following protocols that keep the team secure.
• Comfort with operating a forklift safely and efficiently.
• Flexibility to work shifts and occasional extra hours when needed to support teammates.

Responsibilities

• Care for and steward equipment within the production facility, including compressors, pumps, filling stations, and forklifts, to support a steady supply of industrial gases.
• Engage in routine inspections and maintenance contributions to keep equipment in excellent condition, noting and acting on needs promptly.
• Safely support the flow and transport of cylinders, including filling and quality checks, prioritizing team safety.
• Ideally bring experience operating equipment like a forklift to move materials and products within the facility safely and efficiently.
• Contribute to accurate records of equipment maintenance, cylinder tracking, and production activities to foster team transparency.
• Maintain a commitment to safety protocols and procedures to foster a secure work environment.
• Participate in team meetings and safety initiatives to improve collaboration.
