CHEP UK Ltd. is seeking a hands-on pallet repair teammate to support our production line. You will repair pallets following established guidelines, meet daily targets, and ensure safety and quality in every pallet you handle.

The role requires physical effort, commitment to safety, and the ability to work efficiently with a team in a fast-paced environment. CHEP values inclusivity and hands-on problem solving on a global scale.

Qualifications

  • Ability to follow repair guidelines and perform full pallet repairs per guidelines.
  • Able to lift approximately 75 lbs daily and operate a nail gun safely.
  • Strong attention to quality and safety standards in pallet repair.

Responsibilities

  • Pallet Repair: follow repair guidelines to execute full repair of pallets including removal and replacement of defective boards.
  • Efficiency and Productivity: meet daily production targets; drag/pull pallets ~75lbs; use nail gun ~35lbs.
  • Quality Control: conduct visual inspections to identify defects and ensure adherence to guidelines and quality standards.
  • Safety and Compliance: adhere to safety protocols; wear PPE; report hazards to supervisors.

Job Description Key Responsibilities
  • Pallet Repair: Follow repair guidelines to execute the full repair of all components of a pallet including but not limited to removal and replacement of defective boards.
  • Efficiency and Productivity: Strive to meet daily production targets. Drag/Pull pallets frequently – approximately 75lbs. Utilize nail gun frequently- approximately 35lbs.
  • Quality Control: Conduct visual inspections to identify any defects or irregularities in pallet construction. Ensure adherence to repair guidelines and quality standards throughout the process.
  • Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while operating machinery. Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment daily. Report any safety hazards or concerns to supervisors immediately.
