Job summary

Tyson Foods in United States (Mississippi) seeks a pallet jack operator to safely move poultry products, ingredients, packaging materials, and supplies within the facility, supporting production flow and inventory movement.

The role requires adherence to food safety, quality, and sanitation standards, plus the ability to perform physical duties. Candidates must have 6 months of recent experience and may be subject to background checks.

Qualifications

• Must have 6 months experience within the last 12 months.
• Able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
• This facility will not accept applicants that have worked for Tyson Foods more than 3 times.
• Certain roles at Tyson require background checks.
• Follow all food safety, quality assurance, and sanitation procedures.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate electric and manual pallet jacks to move products and materials throughout the plant.
• Transport raw materials, finished products, and packaging supplies to designated production and storage areas.
• Load, unload, stack, and position pallets as directed.
• Maintain continuous product flow to support production schedules.
• Inspect pallet jacks and equipment before use and report any mechanical issues or safety concerns.
• Verify product identification and ensure materials are delivered to the correct locations.
• Comply with Tyson Foods policies, USDA regulations, GMPs, and workplace safety standards.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
• Assist with inventory control, product movement, and other production duties as assigned.
